East Hampton Resident Starts Go Fund For Typhoon Relief

Brian Lydon is on a mission to raise $7,500.

East Hampton resident Brian Lydon is on a mission to raise $7,500 for Typhoon Haiyan relief.

According to a Go Fund Me page that he created to raise the money, Lydon, an independent volunteer, is already in the Philippines, focusing on distributing aid in Cebu, Tacloban, and Ormoc and the remote Tacloban.

"As a 911 survivor, I have been blessed with much needed support from all over the world, and now my mission in life to pay it forward and I need your help," wrote Lydon.

Since establishing his Go Fund Me four days ago, Lydon has already raised $2,455.

Several local businesses are helping to spread the word, including the Montauk Beach House, which posted on their Facebook page, He (Lydon) is the real deal, legit, does not take one red cent from it for personal gain. Please consider donating a few dollars to help him bring supplies and provide relief aid in Leyte (Philippines)."
