Both the Koepp and Kazickas families have long ties with Hoops4Hope. Founded by Amagansett native Mark Crandall in 1995 and supported by many in the East End community, Hoops 4 Hope (H4H) has been a leader of youth development through sports in Zimbabwe and South Africa. Through its after-school programs, now in 150 schools and shelters, it is reaching 10,000 children a year, providing them with the tools and opportunities to challenge poverty, crime and HIV.
Stories and videos about its work can be found on its website www.HoopsAfrica.org.
