On Saturday, August 18th, 2012, Hoops 4 Hope will hold its 14th Annual Summer Benefit at the beautiful Amagansett estate where Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller once summered.
Spiderman screenwriter, David Koepp and his family will be co-hosting this fun event with the Kazickas family.
This special evening features live African music, a silent auction with unique sports items and contemporary artwork including surfboards designed by renowned South African artists.
Both the Koepp and Kazickas families have long ties with Hoops4Hope. Founded by Amagansett native Mark Crandall in 1995 and supported by many in the East End community, Hoops 4 Hope (H4H) has been a leader of youth development through sports in Zimbabwe and South Africa. Through its after-school programs, now in 150 schools and shelters, it is reaching 10,000 children a year, providing them with the tools and opportunities to challenge poverty, crime and HIV.
Stories and videos about its work can be found on its website www.HoopsAfrica.org.
