Annual Polar Bear Plunge
The annual East Hampton Hurricanes Polar Bear Plunge to benefit the East Hampton Town food pantires will be held New Year's Day at Main Beach, starting at 1 p.m. Each plunger that registers with a minimum $25 donation gets an embroidered winter cap. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Costumes are welcome. Hot foods and refreshments will be provide by the East Hampton Lions, East Hampton Hurricanes Swim Team and the East Hampton Volunteer Ocean Rescue Squad. T-shirts will be for sale.
