Triple Crown Benefit: Luncheon, Auction, HT2FF Film "Penny & Red: The Life of Secretariat's Owner"

Enjoy a delicious three-course luncheon at the American Hotel on Main Street, Sag Harbor, celebrate the 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat, place early silent auction bids on original Secretariat memorabilia, meet award-winning filmmaker and co-owner of Landlocked Films, John Tweedy, and "Secretariat" author William Nack, then head down to the Bay Street Theater to see the 2:30 p.m. East Coast premiere of the documentary "Penny & Red: The Life of Secretariat's Owner," about the "first lady of racing," Penny Chenery (Tweedy) and her horse Secretariat.

Tickets at $125, which include the luncheon, silent auction, and film, are available at HT2FF.com. The event benefits the Secretariat Foundation (which supports charities dedicated to the welfare of thoroughbred horses), the Amaryllis Farm Equine Rescue on the East End (located at 8 sites, it includes 5 rescue horses that are descendants of Secretariat), and the Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival.
