More often than not, your children want to buy their own art rather than inherit your art. Ralph Lerner, Principal of Art World Advisors, LLC of New York and East Hampton, will discuss the proper way to donate art during life and at death, valuation issues, and how the IRS Art Panel works. He will also explore selling art at auction and why you should read the fine print that the auction house asks you to sign. This January through March, Guild Hall debuts TABLE TALK, a series of lively lectures and engaging discussions on a slew of fascinating topics by local experts. Held every other Sunday from 11am-12:30pm in the Boots Lamb Education Center at Guild Hall, the lectures are open to all and are FREE (however a $10 donation would be appreciated if you are so inclined).
