Experience seals in their natural environment!
Join a State Park naturalist on a beach/forest hike to a local haul-out spot for migrating seals. Discover many interesting facts about these visiting pinnipeds along the way. A spotting scope will be set up to observe resting seals. Binoculars are recommended. Hikers meet at the Montauk Point concession building.
Please try to arrive a few minutes before the start time. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and comfortable shoes for hiking. We will be outdoors approximately 2-3 hours on this 3 mile hike. Due to the popularity of the hike, space is limited and RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Call 631-668-5000 to reserve your spot. Special accommodations may be made for groups larger than 15 wishing to take this hike.
$4-adults, $3-children (3-17), Under 3 is FREE.
Seal hikes are scheduled through April. See all of the dates/times here.
