Experience seals in their natural environment! Join a State Park naturalist on a beach/forest hike to a local haul-out spot for migrating seals. Along the way uncover many facts about these visitng pinnipeds and enjoy gorgeous views of the Sound. A spotting scope will be set up to observe resting seals. Binoculars are recommended.
Hikers meet at the Montauk Point Concession building. Please try to arrive a few mintues before the start time. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and comfortable shoes for hiking. We will be outdoors for approximately 2-3 hours on a 3 mile hike.
Due to the popularity of this hike, space is limited and RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Call 631-668-5000 to reserve your spot. Special accomodations can be made for groups larger than 15 wishing to take this hike.
