SCREENING OF VERTIGO HOSTED BY ALEC BALDWIN

Every 10 years, British Film journal Sight & Sound polls hundreds of critics, academics and film distributors to assemble their list of the 50 Best Films of all time. In 2012, after a 50 year run by Orson Welles’ CITIZEN KANE, Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece VERTIGO was named the Best Film of all time. Voices were raised, drinks were spilled, arguments ensued, as there was a new number one. Among Hitchcock’s many classics, the film stars Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak in a tale of obsessive love set in San Francisco. VERTIGO takes a number of unexpected turns in presenting a work that encompasses so many of Hitchcock’s recurrent themes. Presented by the Hamptons International Film Festival, in cooperation with Guild Hall, join host Alec Baldwin for this special screening. Tickets online at GuildHall.org or at Box Office 3 hours prior to curtain; theatermania.com; or 1.866.811.4111.
