Lost Ladybug Project

The Peconic Land Trust and the South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo) team up with scientists from Cornell University for the search for “lost ladybugs.”  Help capture, identify and release ladybugs to further the “Lost Ladybug Project.”  Children can join a special expedition, led by budding entomologist Andrew Blaurock, who successfully captured and identified the nearly extinct 9-spotted ladybug in past searches! Children must be accompanied by a willing adult participant.

FREE!  Heavy rain cancels.

**Please park on Deep Lane and meet at the farmstand. For more information and to reserve, please call the Peconic Land Trust at 631.283.3195, ext. 19 or email to Events@PeconicLandTrust.org.  For more information on the “Lost Ladybug Project” visit www.lostladybug.org.
