LongHouse Landscape Lecture & Award Luncheon
LongHouse Reserve, a not-for-profit sculpture garden, art
education organization and museum, will honor prominent horticultural leaders Fergus Garrett and Warren Price at its biennial Landscape
Awards on Saturday, September 21st.
The festivities
begin with a morning lecture at 10:30AM at the elegant Hoie Hall at St. Luke's
Church. The talk, “Great Dixter: Past, Present and Future with Fergus
Garrett,” will be presented by the honoree as he provides an insider’s
perspective on what it was like to work closely with British horticultural
celebrity the late Christopher Lloyd.
The Landscape Awards luncheon begins at
12:00PM on the LongHouse grounds, and will be a hub of early-fall horticultural
delight as gardening buffs and enthusiasts alike flock to the art preserve’s
luscious sixteen acre property to celebrate the diligence and accomplishment of
gardening legends Fergus Garrett and
Warren Price.
