LINPI Native Plant Symposium: "Native Plants and the Long Island Landscape"I

The Long Island Native Plant Initiative, Inc. (LINPI) hosts a Native
Plant Symposium "Native Plants and the Long Island Landscape".

Registration: http://www.linpi.org/native-plant-symposium/

After Hurricane Sandy, the public and industry professionals are affirming the importance of utilizing native plants in the residential landscape and ecological restorations.  Many landscapes were
destroyed following flooding and salt spray damage from last year’s storm.  Using natives can help ensure resiliency in the face of future storms and at this symposium, top professionals will demonstrate how agencies, businesses and the public can successfully incorporate native plants into landscape design, commercial cultivations and restorations by highlighting their own successful efforts.  Nursery and landscape industry professionals, landscape architects, land managers, government agencies, public officials, supervisors and plant enthusiasts are encouraged to attend.
