George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion” will be performed in the high school auditorium on Friday, Nov. 2 and Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m., with a Sunday matinee on Nov. 4 at 3 p.m.
One of the great plays of the early 20th century, this Shavian classic – adapted into the musical “My Fair Lady” and the basis for the film "Pretty Woman" -- tells the story of a gentlemen’s bet to pass off a lower-class Cockney flower girl as a duchess by teaching her breeding and impeccable speech. The sets have been painted by the set painting club, and students have been involved in all levels of tech, graphic design, and studying “proper English.” Serena Seacat has directed this production.
