Larry Cantwell for Town Supervisor

For 37 years, lifelong resident Larry Cantwell has served the people of East Hampton, New York.

He was the youngest-ever elected Bay Constable and was subsequently elected to two terms on the Town Board before becoming the Village Administrator for East Hampton for the past 31 years.

As the chief financial officer of the Village of East Hampton, he guided village finances to an accumulated surplus every year for three decades.

Why I am running:

In my heart, East Hampton is still a small town with small town values. We are a town where volunteer ambulance and firefighters get up in the middle of the night to help those in distress. Food pantries, religious, and civic groups help people in need. If a neighbor is suffering through a difficult time and faces one of life’s tragedies the people of East Hampton are there to help. These small town values make East Hampton a special place. East Hampton needs a Supervisor who understands the town and shares these values.

I believe I can lead the town in sustaining these unique qualities while meeting the economic, social, and environmental challenges of the 21st century.

I’m a consensus builder.  I’ll provide even-handed leadership on the Town Board and treat everyone with dignity and respect.
