Job Potter for Town Board

“I served on the Town Board from 1998 to 2005, under three different supervisors. I am excited to return once again and bring my experience, energy, leadership and strong belief in the value of teamwork. Too many important environmental and quality-of-life issues are being neglected. We must get back to our roots and focus on protecting our environment and quality of life, and support our working families, our kids and our seniors. I believe in government that works together to do great things!”

Job Potter has deep roots in Amagansett—a place he’s very proud to have seen his two children, Cary and Ben, grow up. Job attended Wesleyan University and Connecticut College, earning his B.A. in Botany in 1975. He then returned to the East End, working in various maritime businesses. Job went on to manage private real estate interests and is now a licensed real estate salesperson.

As a dedicated member of our community, he holds a “retired” status with the Amagansett Fire Department. Job has donated his time to coaching children’s soccer and Little League, taught Sunday school at the Amagansett Presbyterian Church, and helped many local charities as a musician. He has been a Volunteer of the Year with the Accabonac Protection Society and The Nature Conservancy.
