UPDATE: Libraries Close, Jitney Cancels Buses

A running list of announcements in the storm.

Here is a running list of all cancellations and closures due to Hurricane Irene.

  • Hampton Jitney will be suspending service after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evening going westbound, and will resume service Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m. from Southampton, providing that public roads are open. The call center will remain open Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. For up to date information visit our website at www.hamptonjitney.com
  • East Hampton Library closed at noon on Saturday. It will remain closed on Sunday. Check before you go there on Monday. Fines for material due this weekend will be waived.
  • Amagansett Library closed at 2 p.m. It will remain closed on Sunday. Check before you go there on Monday. Fines for material due this weekend will be waived.
  • The following shows at Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor have been canceled: 

              - performances on Saturday at 4 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m. Beginning Monday, ticket holders to these cancelled shows can start calling the Box Office to reschedule their tickets to see Enter Laughing through September 4.
              - The Comedy Club presentation of on Monday. Ticket holders can begin calling the Box Office on Wednesday for refunds. If ticket holders to Andrea Martin wish to donate their tickets to the Bay Street Annual Appeal they do not need to call the Box Office.

  • at Romany Kramoris in Sag Harbor on Saturday has been postponed. The store will remain open as late as possible.
  • All museums will be closed on Sunday.
  • Performances cancelled for at on Saturday and Sunday.

  • Due to threat of Hurricane Irene, Guild Hall is also canceling the  “” performance. Ticket holders may call the Box Office at 631.324.4050 to convert their tickets. NOTE: is confirmed for Saturday.
  • Navy Beach cancelled Sunday Sunset Set of Thieves.
  • The last Monday Night Concert On The Green, originally scheduled for Aug. 29, has been postponed untill Aug. 30 due to the weather forecast. It will feature Vivian and the Merrymakers playing Reggae and Steel Drum Music from 6 to 8 p.m.
  • at Miss Amelia's Cottages has been rescheduled from Sunay to Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. It will be those lost on 9/11.
  • The East Hampton Republican Committee event honoring on Sunday has been cancelled. They hope to reschedule based on the former mayor's plans.
  • has canceled its Sunday morning service at 10 a.m.
