WATCH: Sentence is Not Acceptable, Friends Say

Small group gathers to remember hit-and-run victim and to show they don't think the sentence the driver will receive is long enough.

On a cold, windy and rainy night in Amagansett, a small group gathered near where John Judge was found dead on the night of Oct. 23, the victim of a hit-and-run driver.

Allison Lupo, whose husband knew Judge for 42 years, gathered with friends and supporters to remember the 61-year-old during a brief candlelight vigil. They decided to gather in protest after learning that the driver who struck him — 30-year-old Edward Orr of Montauk — will likely receive a 2 to 6-year prison sentence.

"I just hope John is never forgotten," Lupo said.
