The school board elections are right around the corner on Tuesday, and we're curious how you make a decision.

What's the most important asset a candidate can bring to the table? Your answer might be that they are a parent with children in the district, that they have a professional background that lends itself well to the task, or that they have been attending meetings regularly and will be able to seamlessly transition into their new role.

One things is for sure: the candidates from Montauk to Wainscott reflect our community. Like , , and , they are teachers and the latter two are retirees. is currently principal, so he's got administrative experience. is a grandmother whose family has a history in Wainscott. Many, like and are parents of students and they've been heavily involved in the school and the community.
