Beach will re-open as a protected lifeguard beach on Friday.
News that is welcomed relief to those who call their favorite ocean-side spot. East Hampton Village has decided to re-open the beach to swimming (lifeguards will be posted there starting Friday) because of the natural sand replenishment that has taken place there over the past month.
