Report: Music to Know Festival Combines Music with Fashion

The August Hamptons music festival is the first of its kind in meshing music and fashion

In adding to in vogue bands such as Vampire Weekend and Bright Eyes, the  will  also feature pop-up fashion shops from notable designers, The New York Times reports. 

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's fashion line will be one of those to set up camp among the string of tented booths, along with women's clothing outfit . This synthesis of clothing and music is not foreign to festivals, but Music to Know may be the first to have actively planned for the union and subsequent "fashion marketing" since the original festival discussions. 

Some 30 brands are expected to participate, and will pay between $4,000 and $6,000 for a retail booth on Runway 4 at the . Each booth will be selling merchandise, and some will also distribute swag as well as give browsers the opportunity to assemble and model original outfits.

The MTK Festival will take place on Aug. 13 and 14. General admission is $195 for admission to see 18 bands and frequent the retail booths over two days. There are also a limited number of .
