Report: Alec Baldwin Can't Run for NYC Mayor; He Votes in East Hampton

The actor expressed interest in running the city, but he's registered out east.

While Alec Baldwin reportedly has expressed interest in running for New York City mayor, he's registered to vote in East Hampton, according to the Smoking Gun website. 

He changed his legal residency in the 1980s, according to an interview he did with Interview magazine. An Amagansett homeowner, he registered to vote in East Hampton Town in 1991 and has been somewhat involved in local politics.

He reportedly told the Magazine in the 1989 interview: “I didn't want to pay any New York City income taxes, and not just because I wanted to save the money.”
