Does anyone remember when Mel Lamp used to bring Santa in via airplane?

I loved the parade (as always), but I wonder if anyone realizes that the kids who are IN the parade don't get to see Santa pulled by his reindeer? My daughter is a Brownie & marched to the end and then patiently waited as the rest of the parade followed. By the time Santa's sleigh got to the end, Santa had bailed and the reindeer had taken off their heads. She yelled "put your heads back on!", but was ignored... Kinda sad......
