NYTimes: Fishermen Call Montauk Point's 'Fall Run' the Tops

"You have people from all over the country fishing here now," said one fisherman.

With the summer crowds long gone, the New York Times published a piece on Thursday featuring the "fall run" on fishing at Montauk Point, a time of year in a certain place where several of the individuals quoted said fishing was better than no other.

The article quoted several fishermen, one of whom said:

“Montauk is ground zero if you’re a surf-caster,” said Mr. Mazzei, a former New York City police officer. “You have people from all over the country fishing here now."
