There was little fanfare during the 's annual budget vote and trustee election.
Voters approved a $700,768 budget 98-to-2, according to library director Karen Rade. The increase is less than $500 over the current year.
There were a total of 101 votes cast, eight of which were absentee ballots, Rade said. One ballot was left blank.
Incumbent trustee Lynda Bostrom received 97 votes and newcomer James Donna received 90 votes. Each trustee term is five years.
The current tax rate is $21.75 per $1,000 assessed valuation. The new budget will require just 10 cents more.
Donna will join Bostrom, president Perry Haberman, Joan Lycke, Lisa Valcich, Joseph Dryer, , and Carmine Marino on the board.
