Relax. I don't think they would be stopping for lunch at Townline BBQ if they were not just practicing and putting some miles on some new vehicles, as other news outlets have reported. Gotta love winter in the Hamptons. Too many rumors, not enough thought.
for the past two days on both forks east of the William Floyd Parkway. If a sub was dead in the water, the presence of the military would be a safeguard, in case needed. Such an accident, would more than likey be covered up until the situation was brought under control. Probably the crews of MP's in the M1117s would not even know the circumstances of thier mission unless it was a need to know. The funeral story does however sound like a cover. I wonder where their, (the M1117s) staging area has been for the past couple of days. I suspect some area not far from Riverhead.
Other than that, if there was indeed a submarine connection to the story, off Orient Point, it may well have been a Homeland Security exercise for a couple of days with a sub assigned to a sector off the Plum Island Animal Disease Lab. Hey man, it's something to show for the department's annual 43 billion dollar budget.
That being said, Hide your kids, Hide your wife!
