March 23: Sen Chef Demonstrates How to Make Sushi Rolls and Ross Hosts Drinking Water Discussion

What's with the snow in the forecast for Wednesday? Haven't we had enough of that already this year? Plus, it's supposed to be spring. Oh, well, nothing we can do about it -- might as well enjoy the day.

1. Looking for something to do on this cold spring day? There's a at the at 10 a.m. A variety of learning activities are supervised by a certified educator.

2. Who went to the concert at the on Friday night? We heard it was a jam-packed show, and will bring you some photos and thoughts about the concert later on Wednesday.

3. It's school budget season and East Hampton Schools are facing some difficult decisions and probable cutbacks. The Springs and Montauk school boards met earlier this week and we'll bring you updates on where they are in the budget process.

4. Chef Kei Yoshino of Sen will demonstrate how to make sushi rolls and fillet a whole fish at this Great Chefs event at on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. With the help of interpreter Jesse Matsueoka, Yoshino will make a classic Japanese clear broth and a grilled fresh white fish and serve it with long grain rice and a medley of Asian vegetables and dessert. There will also be a sake tasting, all for $30. Reserve  your spot if you haven't already. Is it dinner yet?

5. Is your drinking water safe? This question will be asked and answered at the seminar at the senior building on Wednesday evening. The , hosted by the Ross Lower School Green Committee, is free to the public and begins at 6 p.m.
