UPDATED: Lisa Craine Dies at 51

A widow and mother of three, she was diagnosed with colon cancer two years ago.

Lisa Craine, an East Hampton real estate agent who battled colon cancer for more than two years, died at home early Saturday. She was 51.

A widow, she is survived by three children; Dakota, 23, Tiaghe, 18, and Cella, 15.

Ken Yardley of Yardley & Pino Funeral Home said visitation will be held at the on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at in East Hampton on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial at .

In September, Craine spoke to East Hampton Patch about her decision to end two years of chemotherapy and with a plant-based raw food diet, juices, coffee enemas, wheatgrass implants, mineral waters and mud packs to help detox her body. It was a course that she wholeheartedly believed in and one that she approached realistically and with vigor.

The initial diagnosis of stage-4 colon cancer and lesions on most of her liver brought a prognosis of only two weeks.

A real estate agent with , she worked hard to support her family with two children still in school.

At a , Craine told the crowd the chemotherapy had stopped working and that she appreciated them supporting her family, once again.

Her husband, Denis Craine, died from Lou Gehrig's disease in 2003. He was 56. She is also survived by his sons Jesse Craine and Dylan Craine. 

"People say, 'Oh you live out in the Hamptons,' like it's a negative thing," she said. "This community has shown up for me and my family so many times. They just keep showing up for me. I'm proud to call East Hampton my home."
