July 8: A Taste of the Weekend Begins

Cocktail parties, a charity tasting event, and a staged reading highlight Friday night.

T.G.I.F.! Here's what we have to get your weekend off on the right foot...

1. The East Hampton Historical Society is holding its fifth annual antique show this weekend. But before you step back in time, the historical society is holding a  on the grounds of the Mulford Farm Museum from 6 to 8:30 p.m. 

2. Speaking of cocktail parties, a will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Platinum Lounge at ArtHamptons Fine Art Fair in Bridgehampton to recognize .

3. And...speaking of Guild Hall, Alec Baldwin, Jerry Adler, Melissa Errico, Harris Yulin and Sam Underwood will all perform a staged reading there tonight of . Orchestra tickets are $50 for non-members and $48 for members, and reserved seating is $30/$28.

4. If you're looking for somewhere with a slower pace to bring the kids, the Amagansett Free Library is holding for parents and caregivers from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.

5. A charity food and wine tasting is taking place tonight at East Hampton Indoor Tennis.  is a fund raiser for Project MOST and The Springs Seedlings, will feature food from local restaurants, and will run from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $75.
