Jon Bon Jovi Isn't Dead, Just Victim of Death Hoax

Despite news of his death going viral on Twitter, the singer and East Hampton business owner is alive and well.

Don't worry -- Jon Bon Jovi is not dead, according to The Star-Ledger of the singer-songwriter's home state of New Jersey.

Bon Jovi, who has a vacation home in East Hampton and is an owner of the bar and restaurant, was trending on Twitter on Tuesday when a rumor went viral that the leader of the band that has his name was dead.

"A poorly constructed, fake press release got retweeted a whole bunch of times and eventually, talk progressed from his appearance in an Advil commercial to his supposed demise," The Star-Ledger reported.
