UPDATE: Jan 21: Two-Hour Delays for School

A rundown of what's happening on Friday.

Friday has arrived. With it came some more bad weather, more discussion on divisive issues around town, and a slew of events. , , and have a two-hour delay.

1. The East Hampton Town Board meeting on Thursday night was a doozy. Lots of dissent was voiced about the MTK music festival in Amagansett and the proposed accessory apartment housing legislation that many in Springs feel would make the overcrowding situation worse in that hamlet. We'll have the story and video this morning.

2. is offering computer classes for adults. The first two-hour class on Friday will center around at 10 a.m. Then at 1 p.m., the class will be about . Sign-up for one class and it's $7, sign-up for two and it's $12.

3. Security is more and more a prevalent issue, especially in recent weeks with the shootings in Tuscon and at a school board meeting in Florida. has re-instituted some security measures that we'll tell you about East Hampton Patch.

4. In celebration of the , will hold a shabbat service at 6 p.m., followed by a potluck dinner. Tu B'Shevat, the New Year of the Trees, is a holiday where fruits and vegetables are shared. For the "Back to Our Roots" dinner, the temple asks everyone to bring a vegetarian dish for 6 to 8 people. For information read the calendar listing.

5. will host a at the at 7 p.m. Method 2 Madness, Human Error, Halfway Home, and Set for Saturday are set to play. Admission is $8 or $5 with a donation for the Springs Food Pantry.
