From Montauk to Westhampton Beach, here are some of the hottest events happening in the Hamptons this weekend.

MONTAUK

The third annual Montauk Ocean Swim Challenge will make a splash at on Saturday. Races run a half mile, one mile and two miles starting at 7:15 a.m., and finish at . Registration is $35. All proceeds benefit the construction of the future Aquatics Center at the . 

The will host the fifth annual "Night at the Light," in celebration of Long Island wines, at the on Saturday night at 5 p.m. Proceeds go toward the chamber and the lighthouse. Tickets are $85.

 and MOËT Ice Imperial are partnering with activist and model Lauren Bush to host a special FEED fundraiser with a pop-up shop on Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m.

AMAGANSETT

Solider Ride of the Hamptons is held in honor of . It starts with a 30 or 60 mile bike ride from  at 9 a.m. Afterwards, there’s a BBQ for participants of the ride and walk that is happening in Sag Harbor simultaneously. To ride is $50.

Hilary Thayer Hamann will read from and discuss Anthropology of an American Girl: A Novel about a Long Island high school girl in the late 1970s, at the on Saturday at 6 p.m.

EAST HAMPTON

The Artists Alliance of East Hampton's Preview Exhibit of the Studio Tour will be up all weekend at . An opening reception will take place on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.

The second in the SummerDocs series at is Page One: Inside The New York Times, hosted by Alec Baldwin, is already sold out. The New York Times Reporter and Columnist David Carr, and The New York Times Executive Editor Bill Keller will give a Q & A afterwards.

Television personality and lawyer Star Jones will read and sign copies of her book Satan’s Sisters, a story of a long-running, ladies’ talk show, at in East Hampton on Saturday at 4 p.m. Sound familiar?

A book documenting the move has been released and a gala reception will be held at Town Hall on Saturday between 4 and 7:30 p.m. Zak Powers will sign copies and proceeds will benefit the Amagansett Life Saving and Coast Guard Station and the . 

Fashion designer turned artist Helmut Lang will open his solo sculpture exhibition at in Springs on Saturday night at 6 p.m. The sculptures were made with some of his archival collection, causing quite the stir in the fashion world.

will hold a cocktail party fundraiser that will include an auction of items like an on-set visit to 30 Rock, donated by Alec Baldwin, and an air tour of East Hampton. It takes place in the Parrish Hall at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $125.

John Codling has an art show run at and is hosting movie screenings to raise money for Solving Kids' Cancer foundation. "Last Play at Shea" will be shown on Saturday 7:30 p.m., followed by "Caddy Shack" at 9:30 p.m. Admission is $30.

True Blood’s Chris Bauer will join WordTheatre and an ensemble of performers to present a short stories at , to raise money for the Pushcart Prize Fellowships on Saturday night at 8 p.m. Vincent Piazza of Boardwalk Empire, Kevin Corrigan of The Departed, CCH Pounder of Avatar, Kathryn Erbe of Law & Order: Criminal Intent and others will also perform. Tickets range from $23 to $100.

All proceeds from a yard sale at the on Sunday at 10 a.m. will benefit the local food pantries from Montauk to Hampton Bays. From gourmet kitchen appliances to kid’s toys, designer clothes to certified antiques, you’ll find it all here.

Kids 10 to 17 can participate in in on Sunday afternoon, which includes a 300 yard Open Water Bay Swim, 7 mile bike ride, and 1.5 mile run. The race starts at noon.

As part of the “Stirring the Pot: Conversation with Culinary Celebrities” series at Top Chef judge, chef and cookbook author Eric Ripert will be interviewed on stage. He’ll sign books afterwards. Admission is $15.

CMEE Family Fair Featuring Big Apple Circus

Children's Museum of the East End will host the Big Apple Circus for the annual summer fundraiser on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets start at $125 for the event which will include juggling, bounce houses, face painters, pony rides, food, games, and more.

For $100 you get the chance to win $30,000. There are only 1,500 tickets sold and allow entrance to the 's annual cocktail party fundraiser on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets for those who only want to attend the cocktail party are $20 at the door. 

Kiwanis Club Carnival

The Southampton Kiwanis Club has taken its annual carnival to Sayre Park in Bridgehampton this year. Stop by for games and rides and some good ol’ carnival food on Saturday and Sunday from 6 to 11 p.m.

Hampton Designer Showhouse Gala Preview Cocktail Party

Decorated by 25 top interior designers, the Hamptons Designer Showhouse at 1224 Scuttlehole Road in Bridgehampton, opens with a cocktail party gala on Saturday. Proceeds benefit . Cocktails start at 6 p.m. and tickets are $225. The showhouse opens for six weeks starting Sunday at 11 a.m.

Cocktails at Sunset for AIDS Research

Noted fashion photographer Steven Klein will hold a fundraiser on Saturday for AIDS Community Research Initiative of America at his property called West Kill Farm next to the Channing Daughters winery. Tickets range from $300 to $2,000. Party starts at 8 p.m.

SOUTHAMPTON

Benefit Event: We Love a Piano

Pianofest, a festival and study program for pianists, will hold its fundraiser on Saturday at 5 p.m. the Southampton Historical Museum to raise money for the scholarship program. Melissa Errico, a Broadway star and Tony nominated vocalist, will give a cabaret performance, accompanied by her father, pianist Michael Errico. Tickets will be sold at the door for $150.

Chefs & Champagne: James Beard Foundation Dinner

Chef Emeril Lagasse will be honored at the annual James Beard Foundation's summer tasting party at the Wolffer Estate Vineyard on Saturday. More than 30 chefs will offer samples of their food, starting with a VIP entrance at 4:30 p.m. and general admission at 5:30 p.m.

Hamptons Polo After Party 

Philanthropist MacDella Cooper will host L’Africana SummerFest Hamptons Polo After Party with appearances by Super Model Millen Magese, Real Housewives of New York star Cindy Barshop, and news anchor Carol Wilkinson. The Red Carpet cocktail reception starts at 6 p.m. and tickets start at $150.

Southampton Review 5th Anniversary Gala Launch

As part of the 36th annual Southampton Writers Conference at, authors and poets will read their work at a gala launch of the fifth anniversary edition of The Southampton Review. Roger Rosenblatt, Melissa Bank, Mark Doty, Matthew Klam, Julie Sheehan, Helen Simonson, Meg Wolitzer, and former poet laureate Billy Collins will read from their works in the Avram Theatre starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are just $10 at the door.

A walk will be held over the Marine Lance Cpl Jordan Haerter Memorial Bridge as part of Soldier Ride’s bicycle ride in Amagansett. It’s $25 to walk and participants can join bikers in Amagansett for a BBQ later in the day.

Summer Lights Concert

's summer concert will take place with Caroline Doctorow & the Steamrollers, Vivian and the Merrymakers on Saturday from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Bonnie Grice of WPPB 88.3 will emcee. Tickets are $30 for adults, $5 of which go to Soldier Ride.

Sachal Vasandani Performs

Jazz artist Sachal Vashandi, who has performed with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, will perform original music as well as some standards at the on Saturday night. The opening act will be performed by the a capella group the Pitchforks at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $30 to $50.

Elvis Costello will reunite with the Imposters for a spectacular show at on Sunday night at 8:30. The band will play all of the classics as well as some new material.

Seaside Gardening and Deer Prevention

By popular demand, the has brought back Anne Halpin, the author of 17 gardening books, for a presentation on how to garden near the sea and prevent deer from eating everything you’ve worked on. Registration is requested, but there’s no fee for the Saturday afternoon lecture that starts at 2 p.m.

All My Children actress Susan Lucci will speak about her memoir All My Life at the on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets are just $15 each to get up close and personal with Erica Kane herself.
