East Hampton Town Police Chief Ed Ecker said on Friday that Conce, who was 22 and lived in East Hampton, succumbed to his injuries while hospitalized at Stony Brook University Medical Center on April 21. Police had previously said he had a punctured lung and a skull fracture.
Conce was an Ecudorian immigrant who attended who started his own videography company, Kaleta Pro.
His girlfriend, Tatiana Khutornaya said by e-mail that he was passionate about his work. "He could do it for two or three days without sleeping and then sleep for 15 hours and then do again," she said. He always told her, she said, "'If you do something you have to do it the best! The best!!!' And he did everything the best," she wrote.
