Event Preview: Art Show to Feature Many 'Objects'

"Objects," a two-man exhibition by Oliver Peterson and Ray Colleran, will be showing this weekend at Ashawagh Hall.

Friends and artistic colleagues Oliver Peterson and Ray Colleran will introduce and close down their two-man, two-day art show this weekend at Ashawagh Hall in Springs.

Dubbed "Objects," the show will explore the artists' interpretations of art as fetish. Paintings, sculptures, and even trading cards will be on display at the show, which will be the duo's second exhibition at the historic hall, after "Burlap and Book Pages" in 2006.

Colleran, a self-taught artist, has been painting for over 20 years, with much of his work focusing on the military-industrial complex. His art is displayed on vintage book pages, drawn and collaged over with images, sketches and shapes.
