County Spraying for Mosquitoes in Amagansett

A pesticide will be used on Tuesday night.

Weather permitting, the Suffolk County Department of Public Works will treat areas of Amagansett in an effort to control adult mosquitoes on Tuesday night between 7:30 and 11:30 p.m.

In the Beach Hampton community, all streets south of Montauk Highway from Sandpiper Lane to Napeague Lane, excluding wetlands and buffer areas adjacent to water, will be treated according to the Suffolk County Department of Health.

In Napeague, all streets south of Montauk Highway between Marlin Drive and Dolphin Drive will be treated.

A pesticide called Scourge (resmethrin) will be used for ground spraying with utra low volume aerosol.
