Marge Brinkley, who lived in Sag Harbor and whose daughter is supermodel Christie Brinkley, died on Sunday night.
Brinkley announced that her mother had passed away on her Facebook page on Monday.
Marge Brinkley's husband, CBS Radio News journalist and television writer , died July 14 at the age of 91 after a long illness. They were married for 55 years.
According to the Herald Sun, Marge Brinkley had a stroke the day after her husband died, and then a heart attack.
She is survived by Christie Brinkley, who lives in Bridgehampton, and her son Greg Brinkley, as well as five grandchildren, including the singer Alexa Ray Joel.
Yardley and Pino Funeral Home said no services have been scheduled yet.
