Bamboo Restaurant, East Hampton Village Building Lease on the Market

Michael Gluckman is selling Bamboo, but not the Boathouse, according to real estate agent.

 restaurant, the business and its lease, have been listed on the market for $475,000. 

On Tuesday, Lee Minetree an associate broker and senior vice president at Saunders real estate agency in Bridgehampton, which has the co-exclusive, said Bamboo has eight years left on its lease at 47 Montauk Highway in East Hampton. The space seats 150 people, and there is a party room and lounge area, popular with the late-night crowd. 

The lease also includes a seperate 2 bedroom cottage plus staff and living quarters above the restaurant. In total, according to the listing, there is 3,000 square feet of space, 7 bedrooms, and 3.5 bathrooms. There is also a large parking lot with over 100 spaces.

Bamboo's owner Michael Gluckman is also an owner of the Boathouse on Three Mile Harbor restaurant. Minetree said, however, "The Boathouse is not for sale. They had a great summer." 

Bamboo has been open for nearly 10 years, while Boathouse opened about a year ago. Gluckman did not return a call for comment.

Bamboo is reportedly remaining open while it is sold. The answer machine at the restaurant said it opens everyday at 5:30 p.m.
