April 8: Students Present 'Chicago', Lace Up for Katy, and Hike Long Pond

Here's what's going on Friday, with a little preview of this weekend's activities.

Friday is finally here. Does anyone else feel like it was a long week?

1. But, a lot of good was done this week. The s 'Just for Japan' benefit brought out the community's support on Thursday night. We've got pictures of all the fun, in case you missed it. Check back later for photos.

2. students present the second performance of , the musical, on Friday night at 7 p.m. Check out the kids' hard work and great talents for only $7.

3. A will be held following Shabbat services at on Friday evening. It begins at 6 p.m.

4. Lace up your sneakers. It's time for one of the first races of the season. The walk/run will be held on Saturday in Sag Harbor. Proceeds will benefit a scholarship fund and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (The Max Cure Fund)in honor of , who died in December of cancer at 12 years old. Check-in is between 7 and 8:15 a.m., and the race starts at 8:30 a.m.

5. Get outdoors this weekend with some hikes. The East Hampton Trails Preservation Society will lead a four mile hike of the in Sag Harbor. Hikers should meet in the parking lot at at 10 a.m.
