Our Town’s finances are on the mend thanks to the hard work of Bill Wilkinson, Dominick Stanzione and Theresa Quigley, together with the assistance of Senator Ken LaValle and Assemblyman Fred Thiele. As our Town is on solid financial footings, we are ready to turn the page. And the 2013 East Hampton Republican candidates are ready to get to work!

To begin, our Republican candidates are committed to engaging in respectful conversation and debate - something that is sorely missing from our Town government as of late! Nothing can be accomplished in an environment of endless bickering and partisan politics!  All of our candidates pledge to be professional and civil. To that end, Councilman Stanzione has proven that he is willing to listen to all sides of an issue and vote based upon what he believes to be in the best interest of the Town, even when it means parting ways with his Republican colleagues.  His demeanor has been respectful even when others have not acted similarly towards him. Fred Overton has been a part of our Town Government for years and has always treated those who have come in contact with him professionally and courteously.  Together, Dominick and Fred will be reasoned and civil voices on our Town Board.

Our Republican candidates understand the difficult challenges facing our community.  Quality of life issues are a major concern and they can vary from hamlet to hamlet.  Environmental protection, conservation and coastal erosion are equally important. Our local economy, jobs, affordable housing, beach access for our local residents and the public, and preserving our local farming and fishing industries must also be addressed.  In order to solve these issues and others, we need fair minded, reasonable and intelligent elected officials to work together.  So stay tuned:  In the upcoming section we will look at the 2013 Republican slate of candidates.

Thanks so much for your time.
