Each year after the race the Hamptons Marathon team makes donations to support local East End groups. This year the Hamptons Marathon donated over $75,000, including $30,000 each to Southampton Hospital and Project Most. This was their largest donation to date. The Marathon has significance to the economics of the Town. It extends the tourist season and is a way for all to express social responsibility to our community.

Project MOST serves more than 275 students, K-8th grades, who attend the John M. Marshall Elementary School and Springs Elementary School, public schools in East Hampton, New York. Many of these students come from working class families (family income ranges from $15k - $50k per year). Project MOST serves our children by providing them with academic support, enrichment programs (e.g., art, yoga/movement, Karate, swim lessons, dance lessons, cooperative games for physical exercise etc.), youth development activities (including leadership training and conflict-management/resolution).

Over the past 7 years, the Hamptons Marathon has donated over $350,000 to support local East Hampton organizations. The Hamptons Marathon was named by Runner’s World as one of their “Top 10 New Marathons” in 2008 and “one of the best small-town races you’ll find anywhere” in their September 2012 issue.

Our Mission: Project MOST is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization. We are committed to building on the strengths of our children by providing students a range of academic support, enrichment activities, and a positive social environment everyday... after school.
