Come to 16th Annual 5K Run for the Ridley and Help Sea Turtles!
Your participation in this event will help sea turtles that the Riverhead Foundation rescues and rehabilitates.They are the only organization in New York State who is authorized to operate a marine mammal & sea turtle stranding program.
The 5K Course is USA Track & Field Certified and starts at 10 AM on Saturday October 26, 2013 on Main Street in Riverhead, and finishes on McDermott Ave.

Early registration is $17.00 if postmarked by October 19th, 2013.
Registration between October 20th & October 25th is $20.00.

Registration on the day of the race is $25.00 and a T-shirt will be given to the first 300 people who register!
The race is open to runners and joggers of all ages and awards will be given out to the top 3 male and female overall, plus the top 3 male and female in the following categories will also receive awards!
9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over.

You can qualify for prizes based on your personal fundraising efforts!
If you raise $25.00 you will receive a Riverhead Foundation water bottle. Raise $100.00 and you get a water bottle plus a stuffed turtle! $150.00 entitles you to a water bottle, stuffed turtle, and an animal adoption. Raise $250.00 or more and you will receive all the above prizes plus a seal cruise gift certificate for 2!
Your participation in this event will help the sea turtles that the Riverhead Foundation rescues and rehabilitates throughout New York! They are the only organization in New York State who is authorized to operate the New York State Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Stranding Program. Since the program started in 1996, over 4,000 marine mammals and sea turtles have been rescued off our beaches and shores.
Many of these species are severely depleted, and some are endangered, which makes every stranding an important opportunity to collect valuable biological information for studies of both human and animal health problems.
