Protect your child's health and safety

Face painting at kids' parties is VERY popular, and, a lot of people want to hire someone to face paint at their child's party. Here's a tip... "Many people think it's easy to do so there are a lot of people out there calling themselves face painters" says Kathy Broder of Fancy Faces by Kathy. But, there are many questions to ask; do they use FDA approved face paints? Some people actually use acrylic paint that can be dangerous to a child's health. "Some use low quality "face paint kits" that are sold in craft stores. These look terrible smear off and stain clothing." Does the painter keep their brushes and sponges clean and sanitary? A professional will use pro quality equipment and keep it clean and sanitized. Many people do not realize that Face Painting is a real profession. There are trade organizations, painters attend classes and seminars, there is an annual convention with painters from all over the world attending and even an on-line TV show for face painters. So, the next time you want to hire a face painter for your child's party go on line and do your research. Kathy would be glad to speak to any individual or organization that is thinking of doing face painting at an event. Call her at 516-313-5047
