Patch Picks: Romance Your Sweetie at these Fine Eateries

Some suggestions on where to dine with your Valentine.

Valentine's Day is just days away. Have you chosen a restaurant, made a reservation, called the florist, and picked up a gift? If not, don't panic. We can help you out. 

Here's some suggestion on the most romantic restaurants to take your sweetheart on Monday (yes, that's Valentine's Day for the guys who may not realize it). Check back with Patch over the next few days when we'll give you suggestions on where to get gifts, flowers, and more. 

 a la carte specials be served with dinner reservations starting at 6 p.m. An aperitif, "The Afterglow," is Prossecco, Calvados, pear liqueur, fresh lemon juice with a lemon peel garnish will start the evening off just right. Montauk Pearl Oysters on the half-shell with pomegrante mignonette and pan roasted halibut with cream braised leeks, American caviar, Satur Farms mache, are also on the menu. A chocolate ganache torta with passion fruit sorbetto will finish up the romantic dinner for two.

's chef James Carpenter has prepared a special four-course menu so come full. The $98 price includes a glass of champagne, and the meal includes such choices as 'Peconic Pride' oysters with champagne mignonette, lobster ravioli with truffle lobster broth, and roast duck breast with lingonberry demi-glace. Sommelier Kelly Matis is available for a wine pairing for an additional $35.

 will be serving two-and three-course prix fixe menus for $28 and $30. Chef Gretchen Menser will cook up such delicacies as PEI Mussels with shallots, garlic, thyme in a white wine broth as an appetizer, orecchiette with smoked bacon, cauliflower, pine nuts, capers and toasted bread crumbs for the second course, and warm Valrhona chocolate cake with a Nutella–fluff center and hazelnut gelato for dessert.

will celebrate young love this Valentine's Day. Two Rowdy burgers, two soda, and a brownie sundae for two is just $25. High school and college ID is required. For those of you a little bit older, there's a "Two for Forty Lovebird Special" that includes a shared appetizer and dessert, two entrees, and two glasses of wine. 

 has planned a "You and Me are We" menu that encourages combining courses to create new ones. Kind of like relationships, heh? The unique special is offered all weekend through Valentine's Day. Desserts are included, such as chocolate-hazelnut-and-honey mousse and cherry cheesecake lollipops. The cost is $100 per couple.
