Mary's Marvelous Opening Nears

Sandwich and pastry shop will celebrate opening of its second location in East Hampton Village at the end of the month.

The is about a month away from opening.

The grand opening of the East Hampton Village store has been scheduled for Aug. 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be served including mini sandwiches and sample smoothies as well as bite sized baked goods.

Mary Schoenlein, who also owns the original location in Amagansett, had hoped to open the new store in July, in honor of the sandwich and pastry shop's 10th anniversary. The store won't be open until at least the weekend of the grand opening.

Schoenlein leased 105 and 107 Newtown Lane, formerly , which closed after 33 years in March, and , which moved down the block.

Inside, they will offer grab-and-go and made-to-order food items, and in the other they home to a "dry," gift store, where they plan to sell cookies, granola, gift boxes, high end coffee, and more. In addition, Mary's will be expanding its online offerings as well.

While the space is still yet to be unveiled, the shop owner describes it as "a clean, white appearance, similar to that of the Amagansett location, but with a more modern feel."

Mary’s Marvelous will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
