Gurney's Launches New Spa Product Line

New seaweed based products from Montauk hit the market this week.

Just in time for the holidays, the Sea Water Spa and Thalasso Center at Gurney's Inn Resort in Montauk released a new body and hair product line.

Made from all natural marine botanicals, they are 100 percent vegan, without parabens, petrochemicals and synthetic fragrance, and are fully biodegradable.

Lola Monte and the team at Gurney's spent two years researching and developing the line of all natural seaweed based products inspired from the country's only Sea Water Spa and Thalasso Center that her husband, the late Nick Monte, created. In fact, Monte "drank a shot of seawater every day and was a firm believer in the healing powers of the sea," a statement from Gurney's said.

"With all natural ingredients like Bladderwrack, Sea Fennel, Irish Moss and Dewberry, this is a creation, which will not only inspire the beach enthusiasts but one that Nick would whole heartedly approve of," it continued.

At the center of the product line is the Firming Marine Body Lotion, a seawater formula meant to hydrate skin and leave it luminous. "Sea Fennel naturally replenishes and protects against environmental stresses and firms skin. Shea Butter and Brown Algae (Bladderwrack) are rapidly absorbed to aid in smoothing skin. Red Algae (Irish Moss) with Vitamin E and Panthenol (Vitamin B-5) improve skin elasticity and tone. Invigorating Dewberry imparts a hint of fresh seaside fragrance," the description explains.
