Tree Lighting Prix Fixe at The Living Room

The Living Room Restaurant at c/o The Maidstone will offer a prix fixe in celebration of the tree lighting on Sunday, December 11 at 6 p.m. The three-course prix fixe is $85 and offers a choice at each course featuring holiday specialties. The menu is as follows:

Appetizers

*Wild mushrooms with a brandy truffle cream on home made brioche

*Vasterbotten cheese and Vadalia onion tart with gravlax, Swedish caviar

*Housemade Country pate with lingonberry jam, cornichons and Swedish mustard

*Lamb rillettes with cauliflower curry puree

*Herring two ways, creamy and clear with chives

Entrees

*Venison loin with celriac puree, roast root vegetables, lingonberry demi-glaze

*Roast Long Island duck with braised red cabbage and chestnuts, candied sweet potatoes, port wine sauce

*Local fluke with baby shrimp, winter root vegetables, dill beurre noisette

*Grilled hanger steak with potato, leek and Swedish anchovy gratin, carmelized Brussel sprouts, sauce bordelaise

* “Veal Oscar” with lobster, asparagus, potato leek gratin and sauce béarnaise

*Saffron poached pears with cinnamon ice cream

*Mormor’s cookie plate selection

*Chocolate chestnut torte with Chantilly cream

*Apple cranberry crisp with cinnamon streusel and vanilla ice cream

*Swedish soft ginger cake with mascarpone mousse
