America’s first single estate distillery located on one of the oldest farms in Vermont, WhistlePig 100/100 is double barrel aged for 10 years (most rye is 4-6 years at best). WhistlePig according to legendary Master Distiller Dave Pickerell – has ‘perfected the mellow’ to create the ultimate American Single Malt. WhistlePig rye whiskey was recently named #6 of 50 total artisinal products in America by GQ magazine. Calorically speaking, because there are no added sugars, Whistlepig is surprisingly close to vodka and other boring clear spirit cousins. WhistlePig’s Founder Raj Peter Bhakta is also extremely patriotic and is passionately ‘following in the footsteps of George Washington’ who, unbeknown to most, was the single biggest rye producer of his time. In July 2012, WhistlePig will launch a “Cheers to America” program whereby $1 per bottle will go to the GoAmericaGo Foundation for fostering entrepreneurship and the American spirit.
