Flavor Comes Through in East/West Wrap

Even if you're not concerned with nutrition, you'll enjoy this grilled tofu wrap.

Even if you're not a vegetarian or a health conscious eater, is a must-stop on the food trail. Long a staple for the health-conscious residents, they serve nutritious smoothies, sandwiches, and steamed vegetable plates in a small cafe. The workers behind the counter will end up knowing your name and your favorite dish when you become a regular.

The Dish: The East/West Wrap ($9.25)

What's Inside: The East/West wrap is a perfect vegetarian lunch. It is exactly what it says, a perfect edible balance between the East and the West; Grilled tofu, scallions, brown rice, carrots, cucumber, and daikon fill a whole-wheat wrap that is drizzled with a miso dressing, and wasabi if you are living on the edge.

How's it Taste: The tofu is warm and the brown rice soaks up the miso and is very filling. The scallions offer color and taste, while the cucumber, carrots and daikon give it a refreshing crunch. Eating the whole wrap will not make you feel over stuffed or like you need to be rolled out of the door. But, it's well worth the $9.  Whether it is a summer afternoon or a chilly weekday lunch, the east/west wrap is healthy and tasty.
