Buy a Smoke Detector, Give Money to a Fire Department

REVCO Lighting + Electrical Supply is donating $1 to local fire departments for every smoke detector sold this month.

In recognition of National Fire Prevention Week, REVCO Lighting + Electrical Supply will donate $1 to local fire departments for every smoke detector sold during the month of October.

National Fire Prevention Week starts Sunday and runs through Oct. 12.

Southampton, East Hampton, Riverhead and Southold fire departments will be the beneficiaries, according to REVCO.

“REVCO is proud to do its part to support our local fire departments and endorse fire safety in our own communities,” REVCO vice president Michael Velys Sr. said.

The company usually sells approximately 1,200 smoke detectors in a month.

REVCO also sells carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers at all four locations in Southampton, East Hampton, Riverhead and Southold.
