Business Round-up: FlyWheel Cycles In, Island Company Brings Summer Vibe

Engel & Voelkers Opens an East Hampton Location
Engel & Voelkers, a high-end real estate company, opened its East Hampton location on Montauk Highway on April 1. Barbara Feldman, the first agent in the East Hampton Office, said they choose the location “because we felt it would give better coverage of the area.” The East Hampton Office is looking to recruit and will have an opening party on April 30 for the public.

Island Company is a Fresh New Face in East Hampton
The summery clothing store, Island Company, opened on April 2 in its new location on Newtown Lane in East Hampton. Linsday Blanchard, Special Operations for Island Company said, East Hampton “fits in with the style of the brand.”

They have other locations in Martha Vineyard, Massachusetts, Naples, Florida, Nantucket, Massachusetts and Palm Beach, Florida so East Hampton. They sell designer swimwear, dresses, short, shirts and more for Women, men and kids.
Sneakerology goes Chic with its Move to East Hampton
Sneakerology closed down the Bridgehampton Commons location and opened up a new store on East Hampton Main Street beneath on March 31. They have a separate Boutique section called, Route 27, with limited edition and high-end sneakers. The new store has more colors and flair. Joe Karl, managing owner, said, they “needed to do something different because it is a basement space.”
Michael Kors Opens a Second Location
Michael Kors is opening a second in what used to be . The Store is still under construction and opening in May. Michael Kors is known for its women and men’s apparel along with handbags, watches and accessories.
Surface Library Left Springs
After five years in Springs, , left at the end of March and has moved to Studio 551 West 21 Street #402 in New York City. Surface Library is an art studio and gallery for artist Jaime Kenndey and Bob Bachler to display and sell their custom artwork.
FlyWheel Replaces ZoneHampton on the Highway
FlyWheel Sports replaced the ZoneHampton location on Montauk Highway on March 19. FlyWheel is currently offering spin classes and will open their Fly Bar in May, which offers aerobic classes that use a mixture of yoga and ballet. There are other locations in Sag Harbor, New York City and Florida.
