BBQ Returns To Pantigo

Smokin' Wolf BBQ & More set to open in mid-May.

Barbecue is returning to 's old location.

Arthur and Michelle Wolf will open Smokin' Wolf BBQ & More at the former barbecue hotspot on Pantigo Road in mid-May.

The restaurant will provide sit-down and take-out and will be available for catering, as well. Look for more than just barbecue on the menu. "We will be serving all the old things like the BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken, BBQ pork, BBQ brisket, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, quesadillas, salads, a few seafood dishes, and a bunch of appetizers," the owners said.

The Wolf family is originally from Miller Place, but has been living in East Hampton for 14 years. Arthur was the executive chef and manager at Turtle Crossing, until it closed after last season.

Last month, opened up , a take-out barbecue restaurant just a few doors down on Pantigo Road.

Smokin' Wolf BBQ & More will be located at 221 Pantigo Road, East Hampton. Call for catering, 631-324-7166.

The Turtle Crossing was a success because it was what it was. Changing the menu and pricing was the equivalent of shooting yourself in the foot. The enemy of good is "better". Dumb move. Welcome back!

Arthur was my chef at Laney's Restaurant in Manchester, VT before coming to Turtle Crossing and all I can say is East Hampton is lucky to have him back. Have a GREAT season. Tom Carieri

Welcome back Arthur! Please return our refuge from the uptight, upscale, up-priced Hampton culinary scene to us. It has been sourly missed! The attitude or lack thereof was what took TC to its former glory... that and your BBQ sauce... the sauce has been the one constant! Can’t wait to hit the “Wolf”.

we are thrilled that arthur will bring back the pure BBQ spirit that was TC. can't wait to tuck into his delicious cooking again--- (hopefully the peanut oil for fried foods will not be reinstated- not smart for a family restaurant).
