A new salon that opened in East Hampton this week offers some high-end services unique to even the South Fork, such as the 24-karat gold collagen services, a chocolate body wrap and wine body wrap.
Salon Bar officially opens its doors in Suite 10 at 66 Newtown Lane in East Hampton, near and , on Thursday.
With a chandelier entrance and Swarovski crystals throughout the space, Salon Bar has a list of services you'd expect, like manicures, pedicures, haircuts, make-up application, massages, extensions, eyelash tinting, and even teeth whitening.
Owner Christina Savescu, a cosmetologist who has been in the beauty business for over 20 years, has teamed up with her husband, Dr. Napoleon Savescu, president of the Romanian Medical Society of New York, who will be offering anti-aging procedures, such as Botox, fillers, laser and microdermabrasion, at the salon this summer. This is a permanent location, in which Savescu has a 10-year lease.
Salon Bar has the ability to offer clients one-stop shopping for their beauty needs, but its the salon's signature items, a 24-karat gold collagen mask application and chocolate body wrap, that are really causing a stir.
"The 24 K Gold Facial Collgen Mask is the most effective anti-wrinkle mask made with real 24 karat gold," according to Savescu. The gold removes impurities from the skin, while still being gentle enough for skin. The gold flakes and natural collagen in the face mask penetrate quickly and deeply into the skin to fight free radicals that cause wrinkles and aging. It promises to reduce and prevent wrinkles, while lifting and firming.
It lasts 75 minutes and costs $255.
An added 24-karat eye treatment, that stimulates the blood flow and oxygen to the eyes to eliminate puffiness and discoloration, costs between $35 and $55. "A serum and masque following the massage revitalizes and protects the skin from premature aging," the salon's information said.
The chocolate wrap indulges your senses while buffing your skin and adding hydration, the salon said. It starts at $175.
Also unique to the Salon Bar is a Wine Wrap treatment, which is supposed to remove dead skin cells, hydrate and help fade age spots. "The luxurious wine wrap body treatment utilizes the powerful exfoliating and antioxidant properties of the grape," the salon said.
